Empire State Building night skyline
Location: New York, United States of America

What can I say about New York that hasn’t been said before already? This city is a complete assault on all the senses! It’s busy, loud and cosmopolitan, but it’s also a city of intense contrasts; on the same street you’ll encounter long concrete boulevards of men in business suits, to tattooed hip young things against a backdrop of graffiti grittiness. You’ll pass the ‘haves’ toting their designer wares, and the ‘have nots’ asking for spare change, the locals going about their daily business and the throngs of tourists dazzled by it all. However, one thing is for sure, whether you love or hate this city (I’m somewhere in between), it’ll definitely leave you with a lasting impression.

This is the concrete jungle where dreams are made – and I can see why!

However, if you’re after seeing some of the most pristine and awes inspiring natural landscapes in the United States, read about my experience camping in Yellowstone National Park.
